Highland House Calls
Serving Flagstaff Since 1998
We are pleased to share that following the unexpected loss of our veterinary van, we have successfully rebuilt and fully equipped a new mobile trailer. We are once again able to provide dental procedures, surgeries and additional services for your pets.
We’re now scheduling mobile visits with a few updates to how we operate:
Surgical and dental procedures will be performed in our trailer. For these visits, we’ll need ample space to park and easy access in and out of your area. Appointments are also available at our location, especially when parking space is limited. Double check when scheduling.
Some visits can continue to be conducted in clients' homes.
We’re so grateful for your support as we navigated this transition and we’re excited to be back providing dental and surgical services while continuing to serve the pets and people of our community.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us as we celebrated our 27th year providing mobile veterinary care in Flagstaff.

At Highland House Calls we practice science based medicine.
Dr William Kurmes was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona. After graduating from Flagstaff High School he received his bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University before attending Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated from CSU in 1993 then headed to Chino Valley where he worked for almost five years before returning to Flagstaff and starting Highland House Calls in 1998.
Dr Kurmes' wife Melanie can be found running the office and assisting Dr Kurmes on calls. She was also born and raised in Flagstaff. Their pride and joy are their two daughters and their families. Dr Kurmes and Melanie can often be found hiking, doing one of their many hobbies or playing chuck-it with their dog Jemmy.
